Have you ever thought you are the only one or The First to go through a certain situation or be treated in a particular manner? A lot of people like myself have. For reasons unknown to modern human society, our minds tend to subconsciously give a sense of importance or as some call it the chosen perspective. This often leads us to believing that we are the first person with our problems or that our situation isparticularly unique and aside from everyone else. "It's just not the same and no one can understand" sound familiar? Think about the beginning of time and how many people have walked on this earth. Society really hasn't changed nor has our problems as humans. Technology has and the world in a physical sense has. The mental and psychological state of society hasn't really change much. Don't mistake what I said, I said hasn't changed much. Yes we have grown to be more aware of our impact and influence, perhaps grown a bit more optimistic. You could argue that those haven't change much at all also because the ratio or percentage of people could likely be the same. Food for thought.
